US Mint declaring world Silver Shortage:

:)The worst silver shortage I've noticed is what's left in the ground.

where is the new deus multi ??

I have a dealer friend who sold me my ctx. He uses the nox mostly now because of the weight but said he still thinks the ctx is a little deeper. Guess there's no perfect one--yet.

    HF Coil Battery Warranty

I'm assuming you're leaving it on the charger when not in use. Don't quote me but I believe the warranty is 3 years. I just sent mine back for replacement and it lasted 5 years. Call the service center at 508-460-6244 and ask for Moe for help. paul

where is the new deus multi ??

The longer I go without my CTX which has been on the blink, the more appreciative I am of the Deus and wonder if I even need a multi since the Deus is really a single multi machine. Those of you who have used the Deus a long time remember when the full tones feature was the rage. I don't hear...

    Frustrating and need to vent

Ron, I've never actually encountering someone digging like this but I've seen some of what you've described lately. In the last several years I've seen a remarkable increase in the # of persons starting this work(uh i mean hobby). I had several folks stop me and tell they've recently...

    crazy deep target

Unfortunately, tiny bits of aluminum which are quite shallow will ring up deep with no signal. When I get these signals I try to remove about an inch of dirt and test the plug and the hole with my pinpointer first. Beats digging a foot when its not there. But dont stop digging these. The deus...

Penny shortage. At least in my area

I will dig a zinc but I have to throw away at least 1/4 of them because they are too broken down even to roll up and turn in.

    Small gold

I should have been a little more specific. The deus is an excellent gold machine. It would have picked up most of these targets that bootypound posted with the program I use with a 28kfz except for the really small gold chains which require a 70kfz on my machine. Unfortunately you also pick up...

    Small gold

I love to find small gold. Rings are fun but there's a lot more micro gold than rings. Who has had exceptional fortune with what machine? The Deus is great to a point but you have to really run the kfz up for the small stuff and then you start to hit micro junk to hit the small gold. I've...

    Never get old

Oh the irony. When we are young and hard there's not as much time. We're razing a family or making a living. When we have more time, the body is shot. In addition, a lot of sites now days necessitate your hunting in the trash to pull out jewelry or coins especially. This means more bending...

should I have bought an x35 coil instead of the 9 inch round hf.

Mark, one of my best Deus finds ever was with this program with the HF round, a rare CSA Whitworth bullet at a campsite. Remember though it hears everything so not your "go to" for the real trashy areas but gets more depth at those cleaner sites. I use this as my relic program.. paul

should I have bought an x35 coil instead of the 9 inch round hf.

Sandsea, I couldnt agree with Jeff in PA more. If you're a CH only the X35 is the way to go. Coins are getting harder to find and the versitility and notch off makes it easier. I will say this though. If you run into areas with a lot of EMI, the 8kfz will run you crazy. You can up it to...

Some basic advice on hunting Gold Jewelry

Ok the jewelry program I designed is only for the Deus but you make me able to get some good results using your machine by comparing all good stuff against junk. That what i did. To make a long story short I have a lot of rings gold and silver most of which were my moms. I compared the tdm #s...

CTX questions about ground condition, "good" signals, etc.

Isnt that the 13" coil and do you use a harness? 4 hrs a long hunt with that size.

    Back owning a deus!

Do around 28. I have a really nice program for jewelry on 28 but still good for coins If possible sensitivity-reactivity 1 and 0 for some extra depth. If trash too bad 2.5 and 1. IF you run above 28 start to lose depth on coins. I've only been able to p/u thin small chains at 70 kfz with...

I'm loosing my enthusiasm for the CTX

IDX sorry it took awhile. Some other issues going on. About the phones. I've had the same problem completely regardless of phones. I can remove them and still have the problem. I can even run my watch over my coils and no audio. I have not done a reset because I only have custom programs...

    X35 vs low frequency coil.

The X35 is more stable and connects with accessories better. I'm not crazy about the boost mode because the 4kfz is usually too chatty and doesnt give much more depth. But i do like to check for trash with it.
