Two Times Out with Repaired Etrac

I got my Etrac back from the repair center a week ago and I have used it twice for a total of four hours. First, it is great to have it back functioning like new and I have so much confidence in it, that it would be hard to use another detector. Last Tuesday I only hunted for less than two hours...

    Got Etrac Back From Repair

Well, it took a month to get my Etrac repaired, but all seems good now. When the tech finally got my Etrac in his hands, you could not ask for a better experience. He kept me informed daily and was not ready to send it back until he was sure it was functioning correctly. Good news was no...

    Multi Kruzer or Anfibio

I believe the Anfibio Multi is deeper, but it could just be the 11 inch coil on the Anfibio. I have an interesting tidbit about the Impact. I put a 11 inch Anfibio style coil on the Impact and I immediately found a 10 inch deep Walker half and a similar depth mercury dime. Both came from heavily...

Out With The AT Pro Coin Shooting. Ordered A New Coil For the APEX

John, congratulations on your semi-retirement. I put the 8.5x11 (same size as stock AT Pro) coil on my Apex and it is nearly the perfect coil. Garrett sure does have their coil technology down pat. No reason for any after-market coils.

    Broke Etrac

I did and they will call me with an estimate. They have had the Etrac for over two weeks. I suppose they work on warranty issues before anything else. Anxiously waiting. I know it will not be cheap.

    Broke Etrac

Last winter I started looking for what I consider the best coin detector I have ever used, the Etrac. I finally found a low use, mint condition Etrac from one of the forum sponsors. I could not wait for spring and I was not disappointed. I immediately started finding silver and wheat pennies...

How’s everyones detecting with high gas prices?

Mark, I use to go detecting for a couple of hours when I could squeeze a hunt in, but now, I plan for perfect weather and plenty of time. My wife does not understand why I would drive 40 miles round trip to find 50 cents. I tell her it is cheaper than a therapy session.

    Legend scores yet again!

Ron, that was a terrific find. A Barber spill like yours if a "once in a lifetime" find. At this point, I would be happy with just one Barber dime. You are getting the Legend dialed in and we all look forward to your future finds with it.

Does running single freq draw more power?

I don't have a Legend, but I have an Anfibio Multi. My battery life is just about cut in half when running 5khz. I hunt a similar spot to where you had your big day and there are spots at my place where you can only use the low frequency because of emi. I cannot use my higher frequencies at this...

    Tooth Cap

I found two a few feet apart many years ago with a Fisher F75. Found them at a local fairgrounds. Wondered why two and speculated that maybe a caramel apple stand was there. At any rate, they are a rare find congratulations.

    High Voltage Warning

Yes, I have the alkaline pack that I always carry with me. Will take your advice on unplugging charger. Thanks

    High Voltage Warning

I have been using the stock re-chargeable battery on my Etrac for the last two months with no problems. This battery was brand new in March of this year. Yesterday when I powered the Etrac up, I got a warning saying the voltage was too high and the detector would not power on. I turned it on...

Do you think it's worth fixing an old pair of original grey ghost headphones..

For Mark and all others who might be interested in replacement ear cups. I have had three different "full sized tank style headphones and all had leather cups. These three brands were the original Rat phones, Liberty, and Killer B Hornets. When the ear cups got hard, I had one of the...

Do you think it's worth fixing an old pair of original grey ghost headphones..

Mark, you should be able to buy new earcups. They are very easy to install. I have a pair of Grey Ghost Platinums that need new ear cups. I am going to check if they are a standard size which I think they are. If so, I am going to put leather cups on them. If I can get motivated, I will see if...

    Notka Digging Accessory Package

smitty, Sorry, but just read my pm's. I believe I have the package sold. The other person offered me 90 bucks shipped. If it falls through, that is my bottom line. If you are interested at that price, I will let you know when the other guy lets me know. Thanks Ray
