Need some help with ordering a Deus2, guys. What is the best set up (Deus2) for a mostly inland old coin hunter? This French equipment is new to me. The wireless is also new to me, all my detectors are wired up. I do get to salt water a couple times a year also but no diving or waist deep salt...

    How does this work

Thanks there hawg but my expertise isnt in relics, rev or civil war items. .. .I'm mostly a old coinage hunter. . .and I'm a Yankee. . . . civil war items are scarce around here except in Gettysburg. You get caught with a detector there, they shoot to kill. . . exaggeration, but not by much...

Anyone using CZ's to beach hunt

I chest mount my CZ3d when salt water detecting and inland hunting. That keeps it higher and further away from the water. The control box isn't waterproof. I also put a shower cap over the control box for splashes. It runs quiet and hits deep with its 5 and 15kh freq's.

We started a Smoking and Grilling FORUM

Good deal.! What appeals to me about smoked meat is you can do your chores while the meat is cooking.. .. and of course. .. it's so darn tasty. I don't yet have a smoker and will be researching one that fits us here at the ranch. I'm having great success with the Collard Green recipe I put...

    Whats in a name?

I'm Steve O because my name is Steve and my last name starts with an O. A few friends use to call me SteveO, some called me other things. :punch: One of these days I may put a pic in place of the purple S.

What do you carry in your possibles bag?

I carry least as possible.. .. . I'm after old coinage. I have a wide leather belt with a side canvas carpenters bag where all the junk goes. Nothing in front of me, that space is reserved for my belly. I carry the hand digger in the pouch. My pin-pointer is sheathed on my belt, behind my back...

    Pinpointing with the 10-1/2" coil?

Center. And remember it ratchets down. Meaning realeasing the pinpoint button and pushing it in again (not over target), holding it in, will make the sound shorter in length for more accuracy.

    Doing what they say

That f-70 is a f-75 wannabee... . . . .Hey Hawgdawg, just busting your chops. Kidding aside it's a great detector. My buddy uses one. The f-75 -11" dd coil works well on it.

Why do those of you who swing an F-75 like it?

If you look closely in the woods, once in a while you will see one wrapped around a tree...the camo ones are harder to spot. When they first came out, some folks really hated them because they were used to driving an old tank...they weren't apt to driving a high performance speedster on meth...

    Best Small F75 Coil?

I have used and have both....I prefer the dd 5". The concentric 6" seemed to false more. The 5" is a bit more surgical in high iron/trash.
