    A Six Indian Head day

After doing some research I was able to locate the site of a long gone 1865-1920 one-room schoolhouse that was about an hours drive away. After gaining permission, I drove to the site and as soon as I stepped into the field I spotted a large amount of broken brick and pieces of glass scattered...

    Where's Fisher ?

I've used Fisher/First Texas products for the last 30+ years and always enjoyed their great detectors. The F75 has been my main detector for quite some time and I was happy with their continued improvement of it after it first came out. Improvments such as DST and Boost Process. It has been...

    1870 Indian - Shallow or Bold N?

I agree Ronstar. The best thing about finding full Liberty Indian Heads is that you can pretty much pinpoint the time period that the coin was lost. This helps to date the site you are hunting. Same goes for most any "unworn" coin finds... Houchens35,that is a very nice Indian Head.

    1870 Indian - Shallow or Bold N?

Your Indian Head has larger notches on the "N" in ONE. Also the "E" does "not" seem to have the curved "trumpet" shaped serifs. As a side note the serif on the "E" of your coin would look even more straighter "T" shaped if the dirt was completely off of it . The same with the notches on the...

    Relics and F75

Those settings should work well for you in the fields. Maybe try running the Sensitivity somewhere between 80 and 90 after you have some time on the machine. In the field areas that are not trashy, try the Motion All Metal mode and concentrate on targets that hit at about 35 and above. It's...

Help please Nel Tornado won't work on Simplex

I have a Nel Tornado for my fisher F75. Whenever I put it on I always do a factory reset as soon as I turn it on.

I made it out!! A ton of junk and a spot of silver!!!

Anytime you can find silver in January is a good day. It's good for your health when you can get out a little this time of year. Nice hunt.

    What are the odd's?

Finding Mercs,Barbers and Seated on the same site means long term occupation in that area. Anything is possible in a spot like that. I wonder what kind of surprises are in store for you guys at that spot. Think Half Dime! Nice hunting.

Finally had to retire the original Grey Ghost head fones.....

I've had my Sun Ray Pro Gold headphones for about 15 years. They have taken a lot of use. They have a lifetime warranty as long as you sent in the warranty card when purchased new. The toggle switch boots and the earcup pads are not covered. I have sent mine in twice over the years. (last time...

TIME FOR THE 2021 SILVER “WEIGH IN”

I like seeing any find that anyone wants to post. Also I agree with Ronstar about wanting to hear the story behind it. Hearing details about how the site was found and how the person went about hunting it is what interests me the most. The details of the hunts and the sites have given me many...

    Recent surprise find....

Very nice find. Most states had them as far back as the 1920's. They had pins on the back and the taxi drivers would pin them on their hats as well as on their shirts. Nice hunting.

A farm field Flying Eagle with a readable date is a good sign that your luck is changing.

Does anyone use an F-Pulse pin pointer?

What is the difference between version 1 and version 2 ?

Changing frequency up average the numbers?

I've never noticed this happening, but in "theory" it may be possible. Whenever there is ANY amount of EMI present, the detector function is compromised, even if it's a small amount. The idea behind frequency shift is to rid the detector of the interference so it can operate at peak...

Never listen to the other guys opinion…..

Sounds like the guy was hoping you would leave after hearing his input because he still wanted to hunt it some more himself. Good 2 silver hunt. All the 49 Rosies (P,D,S) are some of the less common dates. Nice!

Back to the cold and wind and holy moly this was fun!

Nice hunting. Loss of concentration is a sure way to miss coins. Previous guy probably just wanted to leave the site because he could't carry on a conversation and hunt at the same time.

First time I have gotten over the 100 mark for silver.

Very impressive silver count. I count war nickels as silver,I really don't know why anyone wouldn't. Nice hunting.
