    Nokta Impact

It is part of my rotation. I really like in the GenD and DI99 mode with the concentric 7" and the small elliptic coil.

Guess who left old batteries too long in their Nokta Impact?

If the batteries were alkaline, that is the opposite of acid. What good is the baking soda? Funk Out or Deoxit D5 would be my recommendation.

Are there any closet queen tesoro stingray II out there...

I have an original Stingray that has the original brown coil replaced with an 8" white one and recalibrated by Tesoro 1/22/16 and have the claim check for it signed by Rusty showing that it has been tested as waterproof and the final test was good. I have only used it a couple of times in the...

    Whites TRX pinpointer

I have seen many posts criticizing this pinpointer because it only detects at the tip and it takes to long to locate the target. This is wrong. While it is super sensitive at the tip, it becomes sensitive on the side from about the 2 ½ inch mark clear to where the light is located on the...

First time cz3d owner wondering if the f75 compares

Here are three. Usually the pull back method with low disc will give an iron signal as the target goes out from under the coil. Dp mode at super low disc will transition from iron on up to silver and back as you approach and leave the target. A bottle cap will also start to sound off in all...

I just wanted to share something

Congratulations to you both. Having a child share time with you is a blessing from God, even more so in the future. As for the girls ruining him--come on man, when has that ever happened before? ;)

Have a few question on the deeptech Vista

I think you need the Vista Smart manual instead. I believe IDB's advice is correct. The X uses 3 position switches and have the same purpose. The Smart uses 2 position switches and each one has a different purpose. If I am wrong (happens all the time) and you have the X, if either switch is...

    Pull tabs

I have a F75 and F70 and many other new detectors but none of them discs out pull tabs like my Tesoros. I did notice when a coin is near a pull tab, if you disc out up to 48, the coin, except for nickels, will read 49-51 or 52. If you disc 51 or 52, coins read 53-55 or so, always just a few...

Question for Deeptech Vista X users.

On mine, if they aren't too deep, a nickel will give the same length beep in every direction, the pull tab will usually have a shorter beep in one direction than when you turn 90 degrees if you use the same sweep speed. It might work to set the second disc to break up on a nickel but they are...

    Discrimination vs. Notch??

Zero is included. Disc starts at -6.4. No way to start disc at 0. A person can disc out up to 0 but it always starts at -6.4. CT Todd has very good information above, pretty much the way I do it. I don't use notch at all and very seldom use disc.
