    To be honest the design of the shaft on both deus machines is not very good, am working on a 2 piece, straight carbon shaft, this way the weight of the coil should pull the arm cup up into my arm without the need for an end weight in the shaft.

    Im 6'2" and use the 11" coil, shaft nearly at full limit but I've suffered no aching. Mind you I do run a Ctx3030 😁

    Just picked up a used twice ctx with additional large coil for an incredible $1300 or £1000. Still bargains to be had out there.

    I guess it's a case of "if its not broke, dont fix it" the old explorer range, right up to the ctx have something that's lacking in the newer models.

    Mine have done the same as have plenty others apparently, it causes no operational grief. Poor build quality as already mentioned.

    Got the 11 with mine, but I have a lot of open ground, and the machine is plenty fast enough on contaminated sites, I just slow down.

    7.1 latest I think, if you have the puck, large screen accessed by pushing the 2 r/h buttons at the same time, will only show large screen when target acquired.

    Ive got a mate who's a radio technician in the navy, he retires this year and when he gets settled am going to ask him to check this sort of thing out.

    1st silver of 2023

    Deus 2 relic mode, faint signal 37, and at least 8" deep but I think it was almost on edge, hard to date as in poor condition Charles 1st hammered silver shilling 1625 to 1649

    Deus 2 relic mode, threshold on 1, notch 01 to cut out the ground and stones that plague some of my sites. 2 tiny pieces, gilded swinger is probably 13th or 14th century, silver item is possibly a button that would have had a wire shank, or its a pin head. Both small, both gave good signals.

    Thanks, I have the 11" and am pretty impressed to be honest, just thought about the larger one for use on drilled and rolled land in lower/single frequencies.
