    Manticore discrimination

Buy these two books. Really helping me. Just search for them. Rules here I'm not allowed to show you where to buy them. Better than a manual.

Welp Get that old Tesoro out and go find them lost coin's. Then compare the manti.

Honestly, I can't remember ever hitting a perfect ball of aluminum before. I was Soo sure I had a silver quarter. Now those molten chunks and balls of aluminum on the beach from bon fires. Ungh. I truly hate those. Sounds soooo good. Have you found a way to ID them with the Manti ?

Sweat never bothered me. Though in the hood. Gotta be Aware. I preferred open ear muffs.. Or bone conduction. Though haven't found a set of bone phones good enough for what's left of my hearing.

I believe there are hundreds of missed earrings on the beaches and in the water that Soo many have missed. Earrings are the number one lost item at the beach. Be patient and pay attention to those weak whispers. Though you'll only really hear them in pinpoint with the 250.

New Member from Arkansas – Ace 250 Pinpointing Question

That ball of aluminum was the first day using the Manticore. At my son's new property from the early 1900's a couple years ago. Perfect tone. Dead on the line in the 2D screen. I was certain I had a Silver. Nope. Sometimes this addiction can be disappointing. Though many times it's quite...

Make certain your test garden target's are at least 18" apart. Be more accurate testing that way. Not swinging over more than one target at a time. A nail near a coin is a good test. I wouldn't go more than six inches for best results. Good Luck

Depends on what your hunting. I've moved up to the Legend and Manticore. Been years since I regularly used the 250. I actually dug it out to CK that pinpoint function. The 250 is a really nice beginner machine. Though it only gives variable audio in pinpoint. The Tesoros are one of the best...

Welcome Mitch, As John mentioned. The closer you get to the target in pin point the sound gets louder. Pinpoint is full all metal. Even in all metal settings it's not quite true all metal. In answer to your question. Yes the deeper the target your pinpointing. The quieter the sound will be...

The Legend headphones work on about anything. I use them with my phone and TV too. Fit just right for me.

I found a few good ones Sunday

Nice job. With the fuse missing in pretty sure the nitrate/oxidizer mostly leached out. Though you just never know. The nitrate has a habit of going into Crystal form over time in the presence of cycling moisture and dry. You did a very good job.

I really like the Legend headphones. Quite comfortable actually. And as PW said. You can connect about anything to it.

I've had a number of friends use the Garrett Zlink and love it.

Yes, Though it does not become inert unless the oxidizer Leaches out. As an old EOD tech I know a little about the reality of what does and doesn't go boom. 😊
