    Unusual Spill

A lot of history just in that one coin spill. A US soldier returning from World War II having served in the European theater and losing it all in the dumping of a pocket. That is a snapshot in time find. Congrats on the great permission and hunt.

    Winter Beach Loot

Now that is a hunk of gold!!! Jealous. I don’t find that type of target on my depression era farm sites. My luck is finding a rusty horse shoe. Congrats on a GREAT find.

Music lovers thread - Post current listening interests. favorites, share share share

An avid listener of 70’s and 80’s rock, heavy metal, new wave, etc. So hard to find new talent in today’s music scene. But it is out there. Not particularly into rap but this is a sort of fusion and IMHO executed brilliantly by a very talented young man.

    Very odd puffy quarter

Salt water beach? If so possibly the saline water infiltrated between the sandwiched layers and crystallized causing the swelling🤷‍♂️.

    Very odd puffy quarter

Where is the general geographic location in which it was found? Do you have freeze-thaw cycles where you are at? Shot in the dark but could have water infiltrated between the sandwiched layers of the quarter and then froze?

    Thanks for the update!!!

    Multi tools.

After trying MANY over the last 30+ years I settled on these for quality, function and the appropriate do-dads that fit my needs.

    Garrett Vortex ??

I let mine go as well😭. I miss that bell tone audio. Hit a coin spill with a barber dime, barber quarter and Indian head cent in a worked out park. That bell tone rang out like a church bell. I miss Charles and all his great info. Have most all his books on metal detecting from when I was...

    Garrett Vortex ??

Seems they have customers interests at the forefront. I am rooting for a great addition to the market by Garrett. I found a lot of great artifacts with my Freedom III and Grand Master Hunter. Would love to add a new Garrett to my arsenal again!!!

Looks Like The Storm Will Be Blue

Is this an homage to whites? Is it based off of some tech inherited from the acquisition of Whites? Very interesting indeed.

    Heart stopper ring!💍

Well. Thanks for a reality check. All this just made my usual copper rivets, .22 shells and wheat penny finds seem VERY inadequate. Ma and Pa Kettles’ home sites don’t yield sapphire/diamond rings. In all seriousness those are some smokin finds. Congrats!!!

Favorite places to hunt in parks

As I live in a rural area, parks are few and far between. Mostly hunt old home sites. But when younger and living in the city and hunting parks I tried to do some research. Your city library. Books on the history of the city. Look for celebrations held in the park with photos. Were...

As Is Typical For Garrett, The New Storm Release Will Be A New metal Detector Series

Started with Whites in the late 1970’s. Switched to Garrett in the mid 1980’s. Moved to Minelab in the mid 2000’s. All have provided exceptional detectors. Have been looking for an addition/improvement to my Etrac. I am rooting for Garrett to provide it. Looks promising and I will be on board...

Hi. Does anyone know what this is?

Could it be an agate. They usually have a cortex/rind.

Who uses their wired headphones with the Equinox or Manticore detectors?

Use Killer B’s on my etrac and they “speak” to me like no other headphones I have used. Would they work on a Manticore?

Small park I’ve hit with D1,D2,Manticore hits more silver in a few hours !

Thanks. I may have stated in previous posts I have an etrac and currently looking for a replacement that has faster recovery speed and more proficient at unmasking in iron. I primarily deal with massive iron concentrations in old farm sites. Have narrowed choices down to manticore and D2...
