(Want to buy) Vintage Garrett ADS Groundhog or equivalent rival brand

Damn Straight! Since I first started this post,I've located a late '70s 'Money Hunter' and soon to arrive D-Tex CK-20. Surely between the 2,I'll be able to use the Bloodhound.

(Want to buy) WTB: Patriot Meter for Sovereign.

I'll share some info. Minelab offered mostly '550' increment meters. The only exception was the later 'DigiSearch' meter with 180 increments. It says that on the meter itself. George(texkinzee),I'll be looking out for a Joe Patrick 'Patriot' meter for you. It'll be a challenge.

(Want to buy) Vintage Garrett ADS Groundhog or equivalent rival brand

I'd like to get an early 1980s ADS Groundhog with auto/normal tuning. The Garrett Groundhog had a version before the ADS models...I would call this the pre-ADS Groundhog....when the ADS was incorporated into the Groundhog circuit...it was called a Groundhog Master Hunter. All of these ran at 15...

(Want to buy) Vintage Garrett ADS Groundhog or equivalent rival brand

Sorry,it's got to be a Groundhog series metal detector. 15 khz. The Deepseekers operate at 5.5 khz.

(Want To Buy) Vintage Garrett Groundhog or equivalent rival brand

It needs to work and have a 4 pin connector. I just got a Garrett Bloodhound attachment and I need a metal detector to run it. Looking for a Garrett ADS Groundhog, D-Tex CK or Money King series with auto tuning or Gold Mountain V.I.P. Please let me know if you have one.

Monte's explanation on how to ground balance.

What metal detector do you own? That would help determine the course of action to properly ground balance it.

Converting Whites coil plugs for older whites units

The DFX coil isn't compatible with the Quantum's frequency. Whites made a shooter DD coil for the 6.6 khz units, but it's only 4" X 6". I think NEL made a Whites 6.6 khz DD coil.

    Whites quantum 2 anyone??

If you can find the vhs tape about the Quantum series metal detectors by Randy Smith and Keith Zorger, get it! The Quantum had to be swept at a certain speed for optimum performance. Not slow or fast.

AT Max performance with concentric coil/s

Seems that most owners use the DD coils and not much feedback on the concentric coils. DD coils are being pushed on most brands currently and perhaps this is the major mindset. I was wondering if the Garrett Concentric VS DD coils is like the concept Tesoro described. Concentric coils...

why no quest sub forum ????

I own the Quest Pro. Very good, but has a stability issue in high EMI. Your link shows the photo of the latest Pro variant with PDF owners manual. It states 'Q60',but is in fact the PRO. Thanks for submitting it!

I see First Texas is selling new F70's

No doubt getting rid of some old stock. Time to capitalize for a back up or someone looking to get into the hobby cheap.
