Up date on my pup Dex.

Well he is just over a year old now and I am very proud of him. He also has a new girlfriend named Lexie. Anyway I have done all of his training and I am going to start him back on protection work soon. The first video is at home and the second one is at feeders supply, they require all dogs...

It looked like a George Washington button for a while.

But after looking at the pictures I don't think so. Anyone ever see a flat button like this?

    Got a nice button yesterday.

Three of us hunted this field hard yesterday, I came up with this button and a broken arrow head, my buddy Armstrong came up with an Indian Head, 18 something, he didn't clean it off in the field. Our other buddy Larry didn't find anything. Even with this limited success it was a beautiful day...

Snagged a 1828 Half Cent cent today.

Me and my buddy weaver got out to a soggy field today. The site we hunted was 4400' from the truck, I wondered around a bunch before I made it to it, my butt is dragging. Any way we found a few flat buttons and my half cent. This is only my 2ND half cent in 13 years of detecting.

    E-Trac -v- XLT

First off I love my XLT and I doubt if I would ever sell it. Now that winter is here and I have the time I want to get serious about my detecting. I read all these stories on the forums about people finding dimes on their edge at 10" with E-Tracs, they talk about the warble where they can...

    US Belt Plate

Four of us got out Saturday and a buddy of a buddy found this. My other buddy found 3-69 cals.

Another day in a Kentucky field.

There was action all around this place but we didn't find anything to really brag about. Weaver found 3-69 calibers and Larry found the lead portion of a US belt plate with a little brass still on the front. I found a little brass cross thing and I am not sure what Armstrong found. It was a...

I hate to brag, but i just can't help myself.

This is my new best bud Dex, he's a German Shepherd. He is just over 4 months old and he has been heeling perfectly off the lead for about 4 weeks now. We got him when he was 6 weeks old. He has all of his basic to advanced obedience training down pat with hand signals to boot. I have been...

    Is this a cannon ball?

A guy I work with found this in his barn. Looks like one to me, I don't get the writing.

7th Corp Arkansas badge cut out of a Prussian coin.

I thought you guys might like this, my buddy Weaver found this a few weeks ago. We were hunting in an area with a lot of civil war action south of Louisville. We didn't have a clue what it was at the time. Someone on another forum id'ed it for us. It's the same size as a half dollar. This is...

CS tongue, block A button and a 1773 Virginia half penny

My buddy Armstrong was cheating on me and the other Jim this last weekend. No wonder he doesn't like hunting in Kentucky. While me and Hill Billy were wondering from field to field here in the Bluegrass without much success this dog was digging up CS stuff in Virginia. Armstrong dug the...

    Today in the field.

For three Saturdays in a row I was the only one to find an old coin, 2 Barber dimes and an Indian head. I got spanked today. Armstrong found the Large Cent and the eagle button. Weaver found the badge and the most buttons. I found 3 buttons and the ring, it still has a stone in it.

Can anyone tell me anything about this bottle?

I just found it last Saturday at an old log cabin site.

Anybody ever see a Greyhound button like this?

Thanks for your help in advance. It seems like i have seen this somewhere before.

    One piece Eagle I button.

My buddie Weaver found this the other day. This is the only one piece I have ever seen anywhere. Is there a chance it might be rare? The back reads SUPERE IMPERIAL STAND with a little D over a dot at the end of STAND. Thanks for looking and any help.
