Oldest coin found with Land Ranger Pro

The LRP works GREAT ! I met a buddy up in MD for a day hunt and pulled out my first Large Cent ! Its an 1803. The coin had some iron laying up against it, it was 7 inches deep. The sens was set to 7, gb of 72 Also found a flat button during same outing unlike any I have seen before. This...

Got it ! LRP arrived, works great

The LRP works really good, glad I got one. After I ordered the LRP, I then decided to check out the various forums in order to get up to speed before it arrived. I wanted to hit the field running so I read all the posts and studied the on-line manual. Having had a Euro Tek Pro, I felt...

    Exp2 CONSTant audio tone question

Even though I use the Exp2 with all the audio capabilities, I am a beep-n-dig kinda guy. If the target is not iron, I will usually dig it. Its probably all in my head, yet, it seems when working really trashy places I find the CONSTant tone audio might be a hair faster to respond. Because I...

What is this thing ? I have found approx 10 of these now over the last yr

Seems these items come from old home and fort sites. At first glance, they almost seem like they could be some sort of drain strainer to prevent things like rings from going down the drain. They all seem to only use two screws as in this pic. The screws are always rusted. I am at a loss...

Ace 350 gets the job done

Found this eagle today with the 350. There was NO doubt something was way deep under the coil. along with the eagle, I dug some deep lantern and toy gun parts as well as a small ladies ring minus the stone. The 350 blows away the previous two 250s I had. I am confident there is more than...

Compadre with 5 inch coil is my new go to unit for relics

Who would have thought the Compadre is a relic machine? After comparing my ToltecII and Silver uMAX to the Compadre, I felt very comfortable using it instead of swapping a smaller coil onto one of the other units. I have been able to pull old silver, buttons, bullets etc etc with ease...

Few more oldies found with Toltec II

Was following behind several fellas while at an old town which was replacing their sidewalks. When I say several fellas, I mean like at least 4 using big $$ units of all types. Because the sidewalks were lifted out of place, it made it easy to make sure I walked the exact same path as them...

    Silver uMAX likes old G O L D

Been over a local lot with many detectors and which one finds the gold? The Silver uMAX. The school ring is stamped 10k and dated 1927. The ring with the stones in it says the shanks is 14k plated, I am guessing the rest of the ring is junk too if the shank is. The military button...

:shrug:Question about the XS performance in areas with very mild ground

I just have to ask this question regarding the XS because I have had several, including several SOVs too. The BBS and FBS units sure shine on the wet salt beaches, there is no question about that. How about inland where the ground is essentially mineral free? Do any of you notice that the XS...
