    TRX

Some units will have a 2 second turn on delay. This won't affect how your pinpointer finds targets. If the turn on delay is annoying, you can give customer service a call. But if it's not a big deal, your pinpointer is still working as it's supposed to.

Will CTX-3030 Wireless Headphones work with a VX3?

No. They don't have the same circuit board as we have in ours and they don't have the same protocol.

    The true meaning of "Filters"

The filters you can change are in the software (digital). But there are filters in the analog circuitry as well.

    V3 audio mode

You can switch to all metal search. That will sound audio volume (and frequency if you have VCO on) based on the signal strength rather than the target ID.

Beethoven's Fifth, slowed down and probably not in the key he wrote it in - that's the tune for the auto shut down warning. Intentionally slowed down to give the detectorist time to pull and release the trigger to let it know that there's still somebody there. That one's not an Easter Egg...

    Hidden options

You would have to be doing something that is very inconducive to finding any targets to get the Easter Eggs. If you are finding Easter Eggs, you are not searching for targets. No need to worry about missing a target from this.

    Hidden options

There are easter eggs - although with a VX3, not as many possibilities. They are musically oriented (although neither one of us are musicians - so to call it "music" with our square wave generated audio might be a bit of a stretch. Nothing in the way of performance.

    This is the V3i machine?!?

Since you mentioned the toggle forward text, you might be interested in the quick reference. When you are on a function that you want to know more about, press menu+zoom. Some of the quick refs have links to more information too.

a new function on the v3i???

I responded to your original post. Didn't get this far I guess. You can touch it. Stereo mixed mode sounds all metal in one ear, discrimination in the other. The discrimination threshold and the all metal audio play tricks on the ears so they sound like they are at different volumes when...

a new function on the v3i???

Were you in the Prosp Scan menu? <expert menu><Configure><Live search screen><Search or Analysis><Prosp. scan> There is a phase range option there. Is that what you saw? Next time you find something you don't understand, you can get an idea on what it does by pressing Menu + Zoom. It will...

My V3i seems unstable now, please help with settings

You can't just download a program - you have to make changes. Take it one step at a time. You don't have to have the coil connected when making changes either. Take off the coil, and step through the menu system while watching TV or something so that you can get a feel for where things are...

    Rob Is Right.

Check your auto turn off setting (I don't have a V in front of me, but it will be in the menu - I think the expert menu is easiest to find it in. Then go down to the configuration menu. And it's in one of those menus. If you don't press a key or toggle the pinpointer switch within its timeout...

What does the "factory upgrade" for the VX3 do?

I dope slapped him again by the way :-). The DAQ board has one processor to deal with the transmitter and receive signals for the coil as well as the audio. The pod board has 2 processors - one for the real stuff, one that is just a dedicated handshaking processor for the wireless module. The...

We can't let you know how to get to that one though - we wouldn't sell any more detectors then!!! (Bwahaha :-D)
