Best repair for the remote clip on the shaft

I haven't broken one yet, but might order one just in case. The caps on the MI6 like to go on cross threaded, so I'm good for breaking those. Think I've killed one or two of them being ham fisted.... I've got two spares now, but we run a pair of Deus 2s, my girlfriend and I. Definitely order...

Let us know how you like it! I was interested in it, but the subscription kinda gave me pause.

    Mi-6 Delay on D2

I think mine has a delay as well. Seems like it isn't more than a few seconds, say five or so, maybe? Also, with certain kinds of interference, I notice that the pinpointer doesn't always connect to the remote. It turns on and acts connected, so it remains silent with the vibration off, but...

    Charging WS6

That's so weird. I could've sworn I'd charged my puck with the three head cable. Maybe not though. --Matt

    Charging WS6

The three head cable is supposed to charge the pinpointer and the puck. Maybe you have a bad one? I'd try it on the pinpointer and see if it works or not. --Matt

    Deus 2 for Dummies book

That is so awesome. Thank you for the link, and for taking the time to make the book. I appreciate it. --Matt

    Still learning

Here's some stuff I've printed and put in little vinyl envelopes as cheat sheets. They are Not mine, but posted on the internet, mostly on this forum, one is from an older forum. Let me know if this helps. --Matt

    Unable to Update software Deus2

Yep, that's.... Wait for it.... ...the long and the short of it. 🤣🤣🤣 --Matt (Please don't ban me.)

    Unable to Update software Deus2

The thing that trips me up is using the "three headed" USB cord to try and update the puck. I did it twice for the D1 and twice for the D2 now. 🤣🤣🤣 I always feel stupid every time I have to relearn this. --Matt

Where to buy WS6 screen protector?

Me too! Someone needs to try the old score and snap with a screen protector. Touch the edges up with some 1000 grit, or 2k grit? Seems like it could work. --Matt

Deus 2 remote question about the buttons

I didn't notice that on mine. The buttons have a nice firm feel to them. --Matt

Where to buy WS6 screen protector?

I bought a package of universal "cut to fit" protectors. They seem to work pretty well. --Matt

Advice needed for 10 yo boy detecting.

If I had it to do over again, I'd probably start with an AT Pro. I started with an MXT, that was used. It's nice to not have to worry about the detector getting wet and the 15 kHz is a good all around frequency. --Matt Edited to fix kHz from MHz...work brain, sorry.

    deus I question

Yep. XP makes a really great "turn on and go" detector. I used the D2 in my front yard, where I've run a couple other detectors, and found silver nickels and loads of pennies in the trash and iron. The D1 will do the same, for sure. --Matt

    AT Max price

I always search on the big auction site for prices. You can select completed listings on the app, and that gives you an idea of what things are actually selling for. --Matt

    A puzzler

I thought it was a printing plate too.

    XP Deus 2 Depth Concern

I found a war nickel about 10" deep in my trashy front yard. It was in one of those "hunted out" sections. It's not a penny, but I hope this helps. I'd probably ran an MXT, an 800, and a Deus I over this spot and missed it, or heard it as iron among the roofing nails and rusted bits.

Best Scoop for Greatlake Inland beaches?

I use one of the rounded bottom ones. I used to hunt Lake Michigan beaches near Grand Haven a lot.

Detectors that have stood the test of time.

I think the White's MXT is still pretty solid. I got one before the All-Pro came out, but it's still a solid machine as far as I can tell.

    First impressions Using Deus 2

Those are good finds. Thanks for including the conditions and machine readouts in your writeup. Those things are so helpful, and they are often omitted online and in articles. Thanks again. --Matt
