Does white gold ring up different?

Using the AT Pro, does white gold sound or give the same VDI as yellow gold, providing both pieces were the same? I haven't found either yet but was just wondering about this. I hunt mostly old farm areas where the people here didn't have very little or no gold at all. Thanks

    Digging shovel Question

I don't normally use a long digging shovel , mostly just the hand shovel but I have a folding army shovel (the 1940's issue ) that I sometimes use in farm fields. 1943 steel penny signal ?

I was just wondering what type of signal a 1943 steel penny would ring up on the AT Pro ? If anyone has one to test it that would be nice information to keep in mind. Maybe I've been passing some up. I haven't dug anything under 25 on the VDI. Thanks for your help.

    Just my 2 cents

I would like to thank Calabash digger for wishing me luck , because I found the 2 cent piece about 5 minutes into the hunt. It is...

    Hot Rocks

Hello , this is only my second year metal detecting and I have found some nice coins and relics , but does anyone know what exactly these "Hot rocks" are ? They give my ATP a screaming signal that makes me think I'm standing over the Holy Grail. They are non magnetic, light as a feather and have...

    Help with lamp finial ?

Hi I'm new to this forum as well as new to the metal detecting hobby. This is my second year detecting. I found this lamp finial where there was a house in the late 1800's , where it is farm field now. I believe it is brass or copper and has a 1/8 inch thread in the bottom of it. I tried...
