    Numeric reading for Tungsten??

I have a man sized one laying flat on the floor registers 38 on the Legend, which uses the same scale; on edge, the VID length wise is 20, and perpendicular, bouncing from 34 to 42. The ring is about 1" OD, a little over 1/4" tall and 1/16" thick.

    Civil War bullet experts

Mine says copyright 1996, no mention of edition. The reference is in the ".54-.73 Caliber for Rifles, Rifle Muskets, and Muskets" reference 130.

    Civil War bullet experts

The book said they were squeezed together between two punches and the grooves and body taper were turned on a lathe later. It has examples of zero and 3 grooves. It says they were manufactured in the North. Finding a bullet made on a lathe anywhere is quite amazing.

    Civil War bullet experts

Whitworths were .451 and used polygonal rifling. I don't know whether the .451 was from the flats or the edges on the fired bullet. "A Handbook of Civil War Bullets & Cartridges" has a reference to a 54 cal RM with no grooves on page 32. Diameter .537, length 1.04, weight 457

    Coin tumbling question…

I had some that looked like that when I tumbled some overnight. The water was black as was the foam on top. I found if I tumbled for a half to a full hour and then changed the water and cleaned the gravel and tumbled again with cleaned media, the coins were much better. First tumble I use rough...

    Legend Settings

For a beginner that gets frustrated, default and high bottle cap rejection should help. The iron filter is already maxed out at default but bottle caps can still sound good to a beginner. BC rejection stops that. It will lose good targets but your son will find many good ones without digging...

    Tesoro Battery Door Push Pins

I can't find the size of the above but it looks like Home Depot carries them. I don't have one near me or I would check. 078477060377 is the UPC code.

    Tesoro Battery Door Push Pins

If they don't, an auto parts store might have interior trim plugs that would work although not be as handy or look the same.

    Tesoro Battery Door Push Pins

There are a couple of sellers on eBay with some Tesoro parts, jacodaro and deepgold. They might have something.

What happened to the Vista X Faceplate & Knobs?

Yes it does, just like the top picture. Labels are completely uncovered. I purchased some original smaller knobs for my Tesoro on the big auction company that, if they fit the shaft, are small enough not to cover the labels. If anyone wants the link, PM me.

What happened to the Vista X Faceplate & Knobs?

Mine is the older 5 pin model and it looks like the top one. I have had no problems with the pots however.

Charging problem with new hf elliptical coil

You might try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Maybe it needs a reboot.

    MI-6 problem

A couple of days ago, while using my Deus, the pinpointer was very inconsistent. Sometimes when turned on, it would give the right screen on the remote but wouldn't detect metal. Sometimes it would work for a short while, sound like an overload or something and quit detecting. Sometimes the...

That's a relief to me. I thought you were skunked by a real skunk. A zinc penny is much better than that!

Why are the Whites TRX Pinpointers in such demand???

I have quite a few pointers and the TRX is my favorite. I could sell it for more than I paid for it but I am not going to do so. In well manicured areas, I only use a screwdriver to pop coins out and if the TRX won't hit it, I won't try to dig it. It has been worth every penny and if I find...
