    Manticore Discussions

From some dealers I know the detectors have not been made and sent out in big numbers (and some dealers are asking far over retail.) There are simply are not a lot of them around.

    Muscle cars.

Had a chance to buy a Porsche Firehawk for literally nothing. It was a race car version of a 944 not street legal, only 20% of the parts were 944 and it would blow my 944S Turbo off the track, It must have had 150 more horses with a much bigger turbo. I had no idea what to do with a non street...

Barber Quarter, Dimes and Pool Hall Token

Some pool hall and pub tokens bring some serious money. When you have a detector that works and you are very proficient with it there is no reason to change (as most of the new stuff is just marketing.) Where you using the stock loop? Who Dat! :buds:

    Muscle cars.

The '65 was a one year body style and was different from the '64 and '66. Had a '69 Grand Prix with a 400 too. The Fury was the best.

    Deus 2 question regarding frequencies.

Having 2 or more GB points adds to ground/salt and hot rock response, and you have the additional effect of wider frequency response range vs both high and low conductors and this also effects response to target size from small to large across the board. In a motion unit the ground signal is...

    Ground balance & VDI/TID #'s

Surprisingly a wide variation in the ground will only move the TID a couple of numbers: its a different scale. (If it is on a unit set up in a different manner the TID will not move at all. For example a detector that reads out in notches.)

    Ground balance & VDI/TID #'s

The ground balance will move the tid up or down slightly. I can hold my Mk-1 toggle left and move the ground and watch the needle move in the same direction as the ground knob is turned. Remember, the ground adjust control is just another form of a discrimination control. Its used for...

    Letters of a button

The bad news is that its not a T Miller Texas button made in the Houston area for Texas in the Confederacy and worth up to about $3500. But it may have some cash value See if someone here has a copy of "Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons" by Alphaeus H Albert. You might also check...

Went to the beach for a 5 hour Hunt

You cannot get further South than me--13 miles more is the ocean and between here & there is swamp. We got pythons now too. (and snapping turtles bigger than a wash tub)

Went to the beach for a 5 hour Hunt

Then if its cooler here you will like the change. WE are the fire ant, mosquito and cotton mouth capital of the world but you can add alligators too. Humidity is 100% even in November. IF the Garden of Eden had been in Louisiana it would not have been Adam and Eve but Boudreau and Marie and they...
