    I think you are right. There was a lot more "variety" back in those days. Sorry but I'm not going to take pictures of the inside of the detector to prove a point. The battery connections have A, B & C stickers on them. Reg Sniff was a pretty fair detectorist in his day. That's good enough...

    I'm sorry but you are incorrect about the batteries. From the manual: 'the 9V single batteries will have designated letters taped to the battery leads." That is what mine has so it is obviously factory. Other models used the packs but not this one. I am only interested in a uMax.
