    Steve,I have had my VX3 for a couple of weeks now and really like it.The only way to alter the sweep speed on the VX is to change the filters on it.The 5.0 band pass is for slower sweep speeds and the 12.5 is better for faster sweep speeds.The explanation of it is on page 6-3 in the manual...
