    Olivine is a mineral which could be a part of the source rock. Basalt sometimes contains olivine along with other minerals like pyroxene and plagioclase feldspar.

    Possibly a Green Hornfel rock. It is a metamorphic rock formed from intense heat and pressure. Common protoliths that can produce green hornfels include sedimentary rocks such as shale and sandstone, as well as igneous rocks like basalt and granite.

    Check out “Digging Deep Detecting” on YouTube. I don’t know what settings he is using but he finds some of the smallest silver fur trade items I have ever seen. Small wire crosses, ear rings, necklaces, etc. Hits that are deep and his Manti seems to slam them.

    One caveat for digging cents is that if they are pre 1982 they are worth close to $.04. If precious metals continue to rise might become more beneficial in the future. Don’t know the ratio of zinc-copper you are digging as the places I hunt are almost exclusively pre 1982 and copper cents.
