Since the days are getting warmer I got out today for some hunting. I wanted to check out a site that would have been great but when I got there it was now a housing development. So we headed back to the area I got the Standing Liberty Quarter. I started the hunt with the 11" Pro coil and after about 20 minutes switched to the X-5, what a difference that made. I had dug 2 zin-Lincolns with the 11" and with the X-5 a different world, I was getting great separation and went to the spot I stopped with the Pro coil pulled a dime and a penny out of the same hole with a square nail. The area we were hunting had 2 other people practicing their golfing so the other end of the field was "under fire". This are make a good area for about and outdoor activity, it was once a large public pool that was closed and filled in. After the golfers left we moved to the other end, I never kept count of the coins dug but I know it was continuous and Twitchie78 was wearing out my CoinStrike that I think I'm about to lose. She had the CS going with the 6" coil and every time I looked over at her she was digging. I made it to the other end of the field and hit a cluster of targets that most were good. I started digging and hit a 41' Quarter at 7", then in the side wall of the hole was a 35-D Wheat at 6". A few feet over hit 13-47 the was a lady's class ring for a local city collage, then my next target was another ring that looked to be a gold wedding band but was a junk ring. I found another 54-D Wheat at about 5" but had problems finding it because of something iron about 2" below it that harassed my pin pointer. My total finds for the hunt was: 32 Clad, 2 Wheat, 1 Silver Quarter, 1 Silver Ring, and a junk Ring.
