12coildd on the T2+

I have the 11x12 NEL Superfly coil if that counts.

Does anyone have the 12coildd coil on their T2?
Hello brother, I have the T-2 stock coil - I still dig gold rings 8 ish, I do just fine with it,, didn't find too many rings at that depth, but on get a slight zip) also at 8 ". Other than if ur doing Relic's.... I can't hunt 6- 7 hours w/ that machine too long, gets a bit heavy by then.. or I'm spoiled with my D-2. .. not really got a bad elbow & shoulder...... good hunting!!⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️

I have the new Teknetics 12” dd coil I use on my t2. It’s a great coil. Very deep separates as good as the stock coil and light as a feather. It also ground balances with no issues unlike most of the non first Texas after market coils

How much more depth can you get with the 12"coil over the stock 11" coil ? I like hunting with my T2+ but it can't hang with my Equinox 600 on depth. The 600 will get targets an inch or two deeper than the T2+, this is a game changer when you're relic hunting.

Can I ask which mode do you use mostly with the T2.

Try all metal after switching to Boost or Cache mode. Do a search for "So An Mcore, Deus 2, And T2 Go For A Walk At The Bullet Site". HH

disc mode, 3 tone, 0 disc is my usual setting when relic hunting
I’d say I can get about 2 more inches in depth with the 12 inch coil.
Have you tried BP mode on the t2. I have a hunting buddy who swings the Nox 800. It’s a good machine. But he doesn’t hit any deep targets that my t2 hasn’t hit using the stock coil. We’ve checked them side by side. Try switching to boost process mode, sensitivity 75 or 80 disc at at 10 and don’t swing too fast. See if that does any better for ya.

I've used boost process on occasion but I find it kind of noisy. With that being said I usually run my sensitivity as high as I can and that my be why BP is so chatty. I'll try the settings you mentioned and see how it works. I've been using the Equinox for so long now it's going to be hard to go back to the T2 lol

There's no doubt All Metal mode will go very deep but I have become dependent on the different tones and VDI numbers.

Small valuable items are given an iron tone when they are deep with the set tones on the T2. Depending on VDI numbers is to ignore deep targets with about any detector. The Equinox will give good numbers deeper than the T2 if that is what you want, but it will not detect deeper. All metal, according to Dave Johnson, gives a better feel for targets than disc. It is not hard to learn. It ended up being Digger27's go to method but if you are not willing to try to learn it, then I would go back to the Equinox. I own both but for ultimate depth on relics, the T2 wins.

Here is a quote from Dankowski for the F75 although it also applies to the T2 even at 0 disc:
With F-75 Disc on '6' and 'monotone',,,,,,.....,,,,,, the moment you invoke a different tone option; Say 2-tone, 3-tone, 4-tone, etc.... the ‘audio’ portion of the Disc, ....even though Disc is set on '6'...... will instantly become a Disc setting of '15'. What does this mean? = Any target that is between a Disc level of "6 thru 15" will now audibly report as a "Low Tone" (iron tone). BIG PROBLEM for a multiplicity of reasonings. Now, any target that is ABOVE a "15" (VDI reading)... MIGHT report a higher tone,,,, (tone freq depending on what tone option is invoked). -------Most folks do not dig iron. And most folks WILL miss masked non-ferrous targets when multitones are selected.
