Hi All
Well I have not been detecting much this month work is very busy but it is starting to slow down . I met up with Neil for a fun short hunt I found 3 wheat's and the 1920s SLQ hunting in places we have pounded before but there still silver out there. this is #59 for the year . thx for looking HH RonC

Hey Ron-----Congrats on that SLQ!!---No worn off date on that baby!---Did you find it in OR?----I can't find one down here at Baker City!---In fact, it's been awhile since I've found one (SLQ) ANYWHERE! :) -------Del

Nice SLQ Ron !

Your lucky you can read the date on your SLQ - "from what I've read" - the early versions of the SLQ's ( from 1917 to 1924 ) called the "Pedestal" type - had the raised dates - and are often found with no dates on them at all. To solve this problem the Treasury decided to recess the dates on the Standing Liberty Quarter's minted from 1925 on.
I dug my first SLQ two weeks ago ( a Pedestal type ) and even though the coin itself is in nice condition - the date was completely worn off !

Wow! Very nice SLQ. Thanks for sharing.

I dug my first SLQ a couple of weeks ago and it was so worn
you could not read anything on it.

Congrats.

Wow!!, what a quarter. Congrats.
I hope some of my 'hunted out' locations can produce something like that.
