2 Hour Hunt At An Old Park

This morning I hit an old park that a friend and I had been to previously this year. I decided to go over an area that we had searched pretty thoroughly before with success. There weren't many targets left but after a few minutes I got a high quarter signal we had somehow missed. I dug up the signal and saw a silver rim on the side of the plug.. it was a Walking Liberty half dollar!!! Got to cross that one off my bucket list. I spent the rest of my time slowly scanning the surrounding area and found 1944 Mercury dime and a silver ring :) Always a good idea to recheck areas hunted before. Definitely my best hunt of the year so far!

I knew there was more silver there nice Finds Greg same year as the walker I found on Monday.

Congrats on your first WLH and the other great finds !

There are some spots that I have been digging for a year that are still yielding 19th century items. Peace Roy

Dang ... those are great finds

A Walker is one of my top 2-3 bucket lister coins. Great find!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments :) Returning to this posting late but I came back to it after crossing off another bucket lister this afternoon!
