29 V3's on Ebay

Hi Guys,

I wonder why their is 19 v3/s on ebay u.s.a. where would they come from. They are all listed one under the other.

Regards Below2Doe Down Under In Oz.

Someone bought a boat load from China to resale?

Obviously someones wife thought that owning 20 V3s was a bit too much .Gotta keep the little lady happy

I was looking on Ebay at White's detectors and ran across someone selling 29 V3's from $400.00 to $799.00. The ad claims they are from a treasure hunting club. Alot of the words are miss-spelled in the ad and I thought they might be chinese knock-offs. I wrote and asked if he had serial numbers for them and haven't heard back yet... Anyone seen or dealt with this site???

Their auctions show that they are shipped from Winthrop Mass. and they have 100% feedback but I don't think I would want to buy from them. There are just too many red flags about their auctions that scare me.

[attachment 221574 Untitled-1.jpg]I saw it yesterday. The ad wouldn't read so bad if they weren't all in a row. 29 club members all are getting rid of their V3 all at the same time, who are you kidding. I sent Carl a link.

I sent various emails about it and got a eerie response back. .... I sent a message that Said ..."it's alittle funny that i'm watching so many auctions at the same time ...lol "
Well ... His " response " because i don't think he understands or speaks english very well , was this .... " china sells 1000's of things at same time , you see nothing "

WHAT THE HELL ? Rude

Here is my opinion and latest report ....

1. 17 v3's i was watching WERE dropped and NEW Listings started at $799.00 each

Some how those listings were stating no bids at a 0.99 cent start , BUT that was not TRUE , There WAS bids on all of those at the time .
Bids from 127.00 To around 355.00 ..... Those fell off and disappeared and ended up in my ENDED LISTING box.

Apparently he can PULL Or CHANGE at will....

Red flags : :ranting:

ALL have SAME " accessories " ..... Everyone of the listings Hmmmmm ?

I ASKED FOR MORE PICS OF ONE OR MORE MCHINES , but did not get response to THAT request ...

What club is having a fire sale ? ... Yeah right

Same pic of machine for ALL listings ...

Vision ad pic , i called him out on that , he did not respond as to why he put that up instead of more detailed pics.

Here is a STRANGE one ...... All listings will END at same time ... Why cant he have some end sooner or maybe alittle later then his particular date at same time .
Here is my theory ... A mass paypal payment of 29 auctions AT once then POOF !

Why is it important to end all at SAME time ? I think it is because there may only be " one" true machine with multiple buyers. Think of the mess of trying to get " fee bay " to get your money back !

I had 3 emails from seller and it has "stink " all over it .

Be warned ! .....

The auctions actually look legit and his past sales of v3 has been completed with positive feedback. This appears to be an excellent chance to buy a v3. I am happy with one:detecting:

The detecting club may be financed by one wealthy dude that figured everybody needed the best and now hopes that a new Whites detector is one the way.

Maybe they were rentals. Iv'e never known a club to do this. But then theres a whole lot I dont know.

OK... I am new to this forum but I am willing to say that I would never buy into this. These machines, if they are legitimate are worth more than this.

There is just WAY too much that sends up the red flags. If you want to go for it, so be it.

Buyer beware.... and be prepared to take it in the shorts. This has to be junk in my opinion.

My $0.02

Too much about those repeat ads smells bad. Used, lightly used, "cherry" - what ever! There ought to pics of the serial numbers at least to diffentiate between units. Still it smells...
Anybody want a deal on a new one just has to ask the right retailer.
Got mine new, from an authorized dealer at a price I couldn't pass on with Excellent service!
HH!

I didn't have time to go into an in depth search this morning of the bids on these machines but what I did see was that this seller is using shill bidders to drive the price up on the bids. The same bidder jumps the 99 cent auctions up to $100.00 and another bidder has bids in on 5 current auctions.

Just got a reply from a alex#### on ebay about these. I sent him a message asking if they are fakes and he replyed that he normaly does not reply to such emails and comments but never answered the ? so i replyed back saying it was strange that 29 machines for sale with a constant # of bids going for the around the same price and bids all using the same pic which they all can't be exactly the same condition.I don't think i will get a reply on that one

This was his reply so take it for what it is worth
Dear arclytone, why not,? they arrived incomplete with no waranty but they were very well kept, came from one place,so we make em complete buying the missing accesories and sometimes buying almost a whole machine, those in particular, didnt need much to bring them that way, you asked the same picture?, this is not a metal detector fashion modeling,we are not going to take a 100 picture for them placed on a bed and coverd with plankets!! ,they are the same model defrent machine, so one picture is enough to ilustrate them all, we still have another 60 machine of these at least never listed yet,

the seller has100% feedback with paypal protection to back you (if they are fakes) Bid away

The seller should of just posted 2-3 at a time, to keep the use price market from taken a dump

Where do you get 29 used V's? They may not be fake but his story is and so are his bidders. His replies suck also. How many are you guys buying? Let us know how they work.

[attachment 221700 Untitled-1.jpg]It just don't like be lied to. If you got them as returns fine but don't tell me they came from a club. 32 listed and you say 60 more to come. Why wouldn't Kellyco sell the detectors themselves? Explain to me about the bidders. It just looks like the same guys bidding them up. I asked for numbers and he said he had them all packed and couldn't be bothered. I don't need a V so whatever. It made for a good post.

I checked out the one with the most bids.... Everything looks fine. I sell on ebay on a regular basis and this looks like the guy got a screeming deal from Kellyco and its the end of the year and it can be counted as tax writeoff. Kellyco can report a loss or wherever he bought them from can. The only thing this is going to hurt is short term resale value. I didnt plan on selling mine anytime soon anyway.

Another silver day yesterday that I didnt bother posting.... war nickle and a wheat spill. :goodnight:
