3rd outing with Etrac lands 10k Ring!

Got out with my etrac since the weather was in the 40's. I only had a few hours so I went to some local soccer/baseball fields. These fields aren't very old maybe 1970's so wasn't expecting any old coins. Was just mostly digging jewelry type signals and the occasional clad. Had dug about 10 nickels and thought here's a another nickel. Rang in at 12-12, 12-13 pretty solid signal about 3-4 inches down. Saw gold and thought wait that's not a nickel and out popped this men's ring. Checked when I got home and its 10k but was bent up and does have a cracked band. Still gold is gold and I'll take it, was pretty excited to find my first real jewelry item with the etrac!

Thanks, Justin

Awesome,gold is always good.

You hit that new field thinking "jewelry", you were keying on the nickle signals, you went after that target. Very nice and heavy looking ring!
Congratulations and thanks!

Maybe the lawn mower gave that one a big whack! Gold is way fun to bring up and always an exciting find. I wonder about the diamonds...think there real? Way cool dig.

The diamonds are probably real but they are very small chips so probably have very little value.

Nice find. I have dug up 3 gold rings since I got my etrac and they all had the numbers around 12-13.
Here is a pic of one of them.

Digging numbers that come in around 12-13 gives you lots of pull tabs, especially the broken off ones.
I dig em all though.

Sucks here in northern IL. We still have a foot of snow on the ground. Can't wait for the thaw.

Dan.
