3rd time out with my etrac. Getting better with it.

Gotta love half days. Made it out to a park for a 4 hour hunt. Found 2 wheats out there with my Ace so figured there might be more. Well, got a personal record of 11 wheats today. Some deep and some shallow. So my question is why is there so many old wheats here, but no silver yet? I want to beleive the area has not been hunted to hard yet since so many wheaties are left but you would think there would also be dimes and quarters from the teens and up. Anyways, etrac does love screw caps!

There is silver there you just haven't passed over it yet. Be patient, go slower, and the silver will find it's way into your pouch. Nice finds!

Can be frustrating. I'm in a silver slump also. Going on 20 wheats/IH's and not a silver yet. Don't let it get you down. Randys right. I believe you just haven't passed your coil over it yet. Congratulations on the finds and thanks for the pictures.

Hold on to your hat !

For me anyway ... I started getting tuned into what my machine was trying to tell when I had logged approx. 100 - 200 hrs. in the field .
At around 500 hrs. - the good finds started flying out of the ground . At around 1000 hrs. - it's like magic - I know I still have a long way to go!
The leaning curve can be frustrating at times - but it's also what makes this hobby a challenge - and so much fun !

Hope you have a great season ! --- Mark

*** P.S. --- Great screen name !

hi lovely to see all your finds have you got youe ground setting on difficult??? there is a video about showing an air test with ground on normal and silver being introduced with the etrac completely ignoring it then the guy switched the ground setting to difiicult and the etrac sounded off JUST WONDERED happy hunting

i know the feeling, sometimes an area seems to give up wheat after wheat but no shiny coins....i dont know why that is. almost always though, there ARE silver coins there too....just keep hitting it hard, try all the places there that you can swing your coil over, not just the "obvious" areas. you will start getting some 12-45's  one of my first trips with the etrac, i found a spot that had a lot of wheats, i thought i cleaned the area out, but being new, i hadnt. i found even more on my next trip, in the same area! but only two silver dimes, and around 40 wheats. i cant explain that. still cant complain about finding so much stuff. only found about 3 mems. there and no clad. i love it when spots get abandoned like that.
