I went out to get some detecting time in yesterday. It was very cold, windy and spitting snow. I wanted to just get for a little bit and maybe luck up on one keeper for my effort. I rode out to a school with my son, not a very old school but old enough to potentially have some silver. It's used as a community center and park now. So my son skateboarded around while I started to hunt where the old ball field would have been. There were not any deep signals and it seemed to have been covered in gravel. I worked my way over to the side and got a nice signal that produced a worn old Merc. I though that's a great sign and after 2 hours of hunting I ended with 6 wheats and 7 Silver. I was not expecting that and I never even thought about the weather. I was thrilled to get my keeper and then some. I will have to hit that spot again soon. HH David
