These are some of the items I dug at the 1820's Acadian between 2/5/11 and 4/18/11. I got injured and am still recovering; have been able to hunt for about 2 weeks now. Anyways, managed to pull out another LC, 1827, on 2/5/11 (only good find that day). About 2 weeks ago, that awsome E-TRAC w/ a 6X8 SEF coil got me what appears to be portion of a money box. Pic 2 shows a brass key hole w/ a U.S. key hole cover built into an iron box. Owner of the property use to have documents showing in 1862 that 3 Confederate ships unloaded some items there from the New Orleans Mint after the fall of New Orleans (sounds cool to me!). That was the only neat find that day. The next day or so I hunted the back yard and found 3 flat buttons, 2 underwear buttons?, a fancy lead button, a buckle, and a brass clasp looking thing. The last pic shows an old broach.
***Before the hunts about 2 weeks ago, I broke my headphones (a wire ripped out). I hunted w/o headphones w/ the volume turned up higher going over the areas I've been over many times. I discovered that I had new really good targets to dig. Pics 2 and on.***
