A first for me today!

Had a chance to hunt behind a friends home here in Atlanta. He is near some civil war sites. Well I turned my Safari on and asked him if he wanted to hear the sounds it makes. He said sure. Well I hit some iron and it nulled out. So I said let me find something that will make it sound off. Hit a solid 33-34. Here is a penny signal let me dig it up. Bingo, my first 3 ringer! The top was a little blunted but I was stoked. Ended up with one more again a 33-34. Hit the area, but it was a flood plane and man the aluminum cans were everywhere ringing up 35-38.

Nice finds Bunker. If you have one put on the X-5 and go slow and if 4 or 5 of those cans read the same reject them out and get those civil war relics out of there. Good luck. HH

Going to hit it again soon. Rained all day today. Signals were very sparse except for the solid cans. It is a large area so I have plenty of places to look. I think my friend was as surprised as I was. I would have bet $100 it was a penny. Glad I found it early because then I knew what to listen for. Did dig a few iron signals that came in strong. Have to clean one item so I can see what it is. Will post pix if it is worthy.

Bunky - WTG. Nice surprises there,expecting to retrieve copper and getting the lead out in it's place. HH for more relics over the rest of the site.
