A Little Silver and a Little Gold

The gold streak continues! I Hit an estate sale on Friday with my wife and didn't find much to mention, but I asked the lady if I could detect the property, it was on the lake and it looked Old! She said yes. Woot! I can't tell you how many times that has worked out for me, but more often than not people say yes. Huge property, worked it hard for about four hours and wasn't finding many targets, mostly modern clad, even an Eisenhower half clad. But then I get an iffy signal down about 4-5" and out pops a little gold. Tested at 14K or better, with no markings. Not much later the small silver ring pops up. It was all in one area around what used to be an old tree. Stump was barely visible. Everyone must have hung out there. The rest is a bust. Below is the calculated estimate of gold value. Happy to find a little silver and a little gold. Going to offer it to the lady today. We'll see how that goes. Go get you some!

Calculated Scrap Gold Value

Gold Weight: 35 grains (equals 2.27 grams)

Gold Price: $1289.50 / troy ounce
Answer:
Total gold value is $70.52.
This doesn't mean you should expect to receive $70.52 from a buyer. This amount represents the current melt value using the live gold price.

Great finds!!! :thumbup:Because of very high temp's here in SoCal, I haven't been out much so I hope the temps will go down soon even if brief so I can "get me some"!!! Gold that is!!!!!!
