While visiting a Bodyshop a few days ago, I came across this 1955 Bel Air, 3 on the Tree, Six Banger, that looks abandoned. No doubt been there for a lonnng Time. It is odd to see a 55 Chevy, looking abandoned in this area. The body does not look molested in any way, still wearing its coat of Coral paint! The Steering wheel isn't even cracked, and the original Bench seat is still there! The Hood is not damaged from an Accident, it is bent, because the hood hinges are frozen from rust, and some idiot tried to shut it! You can also tell from the Hood Emblem, the car is a Six Banger, cause there is no Chrome V under it.
I have been "out " of the old car world for awhile, but if memory serves me right, that seat is worth a couple hundred dollars. Years ago, the seat was the first thing tossed out, by a Hot Rodder, and Bucket Seats were installed, so the original seats have become scarce. Specially a two-door seat, because they fold forward. Even some trim left on it....
