"After 2 years of searching"

I have been hunting behind a old school for 2 years now just to get out and hunt as a challenge because i know this area has had to been hunted alot. I have managed to recover numerous wheat pennies an 2 mercury dimes . My most desired coin that i wanted to find is the Indian head penny. Every time i go there in my mind i am looking for that coin. Well today a beautiful day at that i thought i would go to this school , its just minutes from my house and do some hunting. I found 2 wheats in my first 30 minutes the soil was just perfect today. I continued to hunt using two tone ferrous for about an hour or so . I was hunting very slow and i got a faint type high tone along with a low tone, the depth of that tone was reading in the 9 inch range so i decided to dig . The co number was 39 and i think the fe number was around 15 , well guess what at about 7 inches down i finally found that indian head penny. I was excited and gave the Lord my thanks, the year of the penny 1906.

I am in the same boat as you but not anymore because you found one!! Congrats. I can't wait until I find my first one. :clapping:

Congrats on finding your first Indian Cent ! :clapping:

Congratulations on your first Indian head!

I found my first and only one nearly four years ago when I first got my ETrac. It had 3 square nails in the hole.

I am still looking for my second one (in fact, I dig quite a few zincolns hoping they are Indians when I am in older spots).

I hope you find many more!!

Congrats Nock :beers:,

The first IH find for me will always be etched in my memory. What an awesome day it was and it still today is the oldest IH I've found "1864". They are very cool coins and love finding them.

Thx 4 post Nock,

Moose
