I've been retired from the USPS for about a month now and while ago I stuck my shovel in the ground in the back yard and it went all the way in! Guess what I'm going to go do tomorrow!!! 3 guesses and the first two don't count.

Yeah, temperatures are rising. I haven't been out since 12/25 and if the temps keep going the way they do with making the ice and snow melt I'll be out shortly too.

Now on a serious note...Dig some deepies for me too my friend. When the water stops standing everywhere...I'll check and see how frozen the ground is.

Good luck Neal.....still frozen up here in upper part of lower Michigan

I am going to see about slopping around in a field this weekend. I haven't checked the ground but it has to be thawed at least a few inches. Sure hope this weather holds on for a while.

Hope you had good luck Neal!

Chris. I went to KY over the weekend and about half of the areas that detected in still had frost at 2-21/2 inches. PJ

Happy retirement Neal.:clapping: It's been a year now for me and well worth the wait. HH and enjoy your retirement. Oh, your not going detecting now are you?

It is finally starting to thaw around here too. I'm glad because we can start getting out some. I don't find too much but I still have fun. The guy I hunt with finds enough for both of us anyway.
