All can relax on Minelab issues soon

It's just a growing issue........... split between Chicago and Vegas right now.. All Have been in meetings, (Conferences) and they have one person answering phone and all e-mails..1,000 per day I was told.....It will all be resolved soon. This is from a Minelab dealer who just spoke with LORI in Chicago...The new Service center that will soon open. I guess Lori is a new rep, or at least new handling the Eastern States. This is not gospel, in fact, it's what I was told. but I do believe it to be true.. So if errors are here it's all meant well on my part. This was not told to me by Minelab..but from a Minelab Dealer..

So Hang in, and all will be right soon !!! May be better than it's ever been !!!

Thanks! Thats Great,I and Many others will be glad when it is all over.
Appreciate the update.

That is great news for me too as I want to send my ET in for some minor repairs and I don't want it to be gone for weeks on end. Terry

For a guy who only live's twenty minutes from chicago that is awesome new's! :clapping: Thank's first texas for buying out fisher and forcing me to try a minelab!

I've just had this "gut feeling" that all this would (will) smooth out as soon as they get the Chicago service center going.----I guess it takes some time & must be hectic for them.---It isn't much fun for us either, is it?----As far as the manufacturing plant--from what I can see/understand, the detectors that are now comeing out of Malaysia are of excellent Minelab quality & there hasn't been any "unusual" problems with them.---Isn't that what the guys that have purchased these new ones (latest out ones) are saying?---Correct me if I'm wrong on this-PLEASE! :) -------Del

It really doesn't matter if they open the Chicago office on Monday of this coming week if they don't have any parts. I know dealers that have orders from last November that have yet to be filled for Parts and Detectors.
I hope they get it working soon, there are already a lot of upset consumers and dealers.

I have a dealer trying to get me an Excalibur and it has been since January with no luck, I know there are a few coming in at a time but I have talked to other dealers that have had 5 to 15 ordered since December and have not seen any. I could purchase one right now, but I would rather give my business to someone I know will go out on a limb if you have any issues. They have a wonderful product, they just need to get their customer service issues worked out. Hopefully they will be caught up and running smooth again soon.

I have spoken with a few dealers that I am acquainted with. All the same components are going into these machines, they simply are just being assembled in Malaysia. The parts are still being made by the same companies as before and everything is just being shipped to the assembly plant in Malaysia. Cheap labor move. I think the Malaysia assembly company also operates in the USA from what I understand.

In a nutshell same product, just a different person putting the pieces together.

Like I said in my earlier post, the components of the Minelab machines are still outsourced all over the world. They are brought to Malaysia and then the machines are being assembled there. The Plexus Corporation is an American owned company and also operates in the UK as well as the US and Asia. They are involved in all kinds of high quality electronics from satellite equipment to pace makers and other medical products. I think these machines will continue to have the high quality and performance as before or better.
