It was 50 degrees today and my wife had plans with her mom so might as well get out. I got into the woods around 9am and didn't get out till 4ish. Long productive hunt.

1st spot was a 1900s school from what the topos show. All that stands now is the foundation

I worked the areas behind the school and got a few early wheats then boom hit a old tree and got a 84 85 on the deus but it sounded weird.. but good got a little spill. 1905 barber dime and 1902 IH

Then I got a cool Kent pocket knife and a no date buff and a 1902 V all from the little area behind the school... and the signals disappeared like that. So I hiked in the woods for a bit and came to a old boyscout camp.

Omg my hands hurt.. lol diggging like a mad man.

It was weird today some of the Memorials sounded like silvers?

But I had a killer day and thanks for looking.

That looks like a very nice productive spot and well worth going back to again! Maybe some big silver and a ring or 2 hiding there? Congrats on a great collection of finds including some nice coins!!!!

I really like hunting sites in the woods like that - congrats on a GREAT bunch of finds ! :beers:
 
Nice pics and great story. Finding those keepers when so many places are picked clean is rewarding. Sounds like yA did some research for the school and stumbled upon the scout camp?
