Old Homeplace/Farm That is now old cutover in the woods. I have been able to date it back to mid 1800s in Warren County Ga. Original owner was a civil war veteran who made it back home. The buckle appears to be brass pretty good shape. If anyone has A thought on type let me know. Wish It Has CSA on it. The penny is 1889 my forth IHP in last couple months love them.

Great finds!

Congrat's on a Great CW Save on the veterans buckle and also the I.H. Penny. This is the second buckle found in Georgia in the past few weeks. Sorta gives one hope. This was one super Save and will look great displayed. If you know some personal info on this veteran, it would make it even more personally valuable. Well Done.

Nice find on the buckle and gotta love those injuns!!! Makes my day when I find one..hhrickinmi

Very nice. An old homesite in the woods is one of my favorite kind of places to hunt.

Think I found one thats pretty close. The back matches exactly as does the measurements. Only thing missing is the front insignia. Late 1890s. Spanish-American war.
