Another 2 hour hunt.

NH Bob

New member
Stopped at a place that looked to be about early to mid 1800s. Never expected to get permission but was totally surprised when she said have at it. Then she added that her father in-law had already hunted it out.
Well, I was already there and it looked soooo inviting. And you know the saying, nothing is ever hunted out.
I parked my truck and got the explorer out and trying not to look too excited, I got ready to hunt.
I walked up to the stone walkway to the front door and turned on the machine. I took two swings and that sweet large piece of silver rang out. I turned the plug over and there it lay. Now I'm smilin.
To make a long story short, she came out after watching me from every view point and told me she was leaving and I should pack it up.
I did manage the 1942 Walker, a 1918 Merc, a small lock and a nice smaller than a dime Artillery Button.
I think if given enough time to work that area. I could have had a lot more items to show from this hunted out site

Nice, Bob!

I'm kinda laughing 'cause I bet it wasn't long until she had her father-in-law on the phone telling him he missed a lot of stuff. Too bad you don't get to continue but nice that you had a shot at it for a while. Must have been frustrating.

Great finds. Isn't it always the case, when the coins start poppin out, the permission goes out the window!!! I bet she don't let you back in! She's probably mad that actually found anything. Wondering what her father in law was using??? I want to follow after him;)

What did you look like when you found the good stuff?:crylol: You should put your poker face on and look disappointed, she must have read right thru ya.....but you bagged yourself a nice walker!!! Sweet!.....I love those coins.

You know how you can sometimes tell right off if a yard has been filled in over the years? Well this one looked untouched. Roots sticking out of the ground, the whole nine yards.

I pride myself on a very good poker face  She knew enough to know I was digging good targets. She wasn't new to this hobby.

Great digs Bob!!! Specially that eagle cuff button!!!!!!

Nice silver, Bob. If it was my yard and you gave me the sad big brown eyed puppy look, I would have caved in and let you hunt for the rest of the day. Ya gotta practice this look! It works on most women!

Thats the look Bob will have when he gets caught in the womans yard with the back hoes and dump trucks, after she shows up early from a shopping trip, cause she forgot her glasses. Hey is there any copyrights on that pic? I want to copy and save it in my documents just in case I should ever need it. LOL.....That is a classic!

NICE JOB BOB AT LEAST YOU GOT SOME SILVER OUT OF THERE  MAYBE YOU CAN GO BACK AGAIN????? AND TALK HER IN TO HUNTING AGAIN :starwars:

Great finds, maybe you should practice the pull-tab, bottle cap shuffle. Like they do with cards, but cuff the silver and lift out the tab with the puppy eyes. She saw silver Bob and you were sent packing. Happened at a church last week with me, in one day and out the next.

It sounds to me that she got worried after seeing you dig so many times. She should have been worried! Apparently, the last time it was Detected, that is, if it ever was, that it wasn't gone over with a Minelab. I am glad you got that Walker before you had to leave. If that would have been the only thing I found, I would have been a happy camper. You'll have to go back and see if you can get back into that spot NH Bob. But something tells me that she will deny you access this time. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.
