That looks good!----I like the looks of the teeth and the blade point.----Is this one going to have a little longer blade?----An offset handle & adequate handle guard and you'll have a winner! :thumbup:
 
Looks good,do you mind if i ask what the measurements are?
width and length of the blade?
Do you plan on leaving it flat?
 
This particular blade is 1 7/8" wide. It has not been cut from the stock to length but we talked about making it 8 inches. This will remain flat with no radius to the blade and will have a handle with guard and a pommel like this one.
 
I'm not sure what material my buddy cut this from today, we talked about A2. We are going to work out the details this weekend.

For your thoughts.......I would like to see a "D" handle, or a "T" handle on that shovel. My hands don't grip as well as they used to, and I would think others would have that problem as well. A T or D would allow leverage for someone with problem hands.....just a thought.......
