Went out today for a few hours to a school. It was one of those days....a little bit of everything!

1900 canadian penny, 14kt wedding band, something?(know what it is?) Shell gas token, wacker 1.00 token, and a cool tini lebanon bus token. 14kt band locked on at 12-20.

Very nice finds !

Nice spot you got there!

I believe the 'what's it' is a dress weight (or something along those lines). I didn't realize Canada used large cents that late.

HH,
Brian

Cal....that would make sense....I would have never thought of that.....

Thanks!

I found a large Canadian cent in a school yard a good number of years ago that was dated 1920. I believe that was the last year of their large cents.

This one is 1900....I dont know my canadian coins well...but think this is a large cent.

Nice finds James. Thanks for the pictures.

Nice collection in one hunt!

That penny is from England and should have Queen Victoria on the front side.
Got to agree with Cal Cobra about the lead. Looks like a curtain or dress weight.

Nice finds! Mark

Thanks all!

So, did they use those english pennies in canada?

"wafer you to go" wacker....hmm pretty cool token!

I thought it was a beautiful coin and appeared silver from the photo
I tried looking it up on the net but the coins I've viewed so far don't really look the same
Any more information about the coin or where to view it?
Thanks

Here are some better pics...and I think its made out of copper

Thanks for the pictures
Isn't funny how when a silver coin is photographed it some times has a golden color
And the copper coins when photographed some times look silver

I saw your English Penny yesterday at a antique shop and indeed she is Beautiful:blush:

Thanks!

I think it all depends on your camera and the flash situation. Sometimes you have to trade one thing for another in order to get a good pic. Im sure there are ways of doing it properly but havent invested the time in order to do it.

Good luck to you!

After seeing your post I looked for an item I had found in my mother-in-laws things after she passed

It is a barrette that has 2 English silver shilling coins, dated 1931 and 1942 and 1931 Penny

The penny appears to be the type you found
