Stopped on the way home from work for a quick hunt at the same spot I found the OLDS MOTOR WORKS tool check.
Along with a couple of wheat pennies and a Lansing Safety Patrol pin. ( I found one of these a couple of years ago but not in this kind of shape. Its from the 40's and 50s). I found another tool check from the same auto maker.
This belonged to the 651 first employee of Olds. If you read my first post from a couple of days ago you can read the history of tool check tags. The first year of O.M.W. They employed around 450 in the motor plant not counting 120 in the truck plant.
That being said this I would guess to be from the first year to year and a half of the starting up of Oldsmobile.
