I've been testing the pros and cons to manual mode vs auto +3 at the local park where 128 years of coins are extremely deep. Both goldnsilver and I have been running with manual at 26. Todays hunt found it a bit difficult to run in manual due to ground conditions. We hunted a differnt location than Saturday. Saturdays hunt was very productive and manual 26 was much easier to work with. Sunday had noise issues with often hard to inturpret noises. Auto would smooth out this influx of what seemed like random noises. I did recover several mercs, a few wheats, 2 Royal Billiards Good For 5
