It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard a thing back. Guess they are busy? Just wondering what the recent turn time around is. Last year I sent this same unit in and I had it back inside a week. This time clumsy arse me dropped it.... broke the lower plastic part of the case that holds the battery..... she turns on and sounds fine until I plug in a coil, then just brabbbbbbb with no adjustment on the threshold and any coil I try is dead.

Thanks

Bob

I just sent mine in this week. Mine is still under warranty. I was having issues with it not holding a steady threshold. When I talked to the guy on the phone to get my RMA # he would not give me a time frame. I was hoping to have it back 2-3 weeks. The guy also told me that since they dont make it anymore some parts they dont have. I dont know if he is just saying that but I guess we will see.

I had to send my GT because it would not hold a threshold either. It had to go to Kellyco. I did tracking number to be sure when it got there. I made a call after a week and was told they had not got to it yet., Waited another week and called and they said it was in the mail and I got it the next day. I had to call again to find out what they did. They replaced the main board it is under warranty. It works great now.

I got an email Friday night(25th) saying that got my GT. I sent it in on Tuesday the 22nd, They signed for it on Thursday.... Now hope for a quick turn around.

Bob,hope your service is quick, just curious did you have a weather cover on your Sovereign?Usually these covers will absorb shock that would other wise break or crack the plastic control box.Good Luck Ron

No Ron I did not. I was actually cleaning it up a bit preparing for the up coming Summer season. It slipped out of my hands and hit the concrete. Would not have been so bad if the battery was not in it but the extra weight made it hit a lot harder I feel. Landed right on the rear corner and knocked a nice chunk out, especially where the coil connector comes through. So much for good house keeping.......:lmfao:

They got it on the 14th of April and I haven't heard a word yet if anyone looked at it.

Sent one in I could not repair, took about 3 plus weeks but they did a great job on a machine. Thanks Darin Brown..........Joe Preast

This coming Monday is 3 weeks so maybe soon??????? Just wondering if they don't care too much about us Sovereign lovers anymore since it's discontinued. Personally I feel it's a big mistake. Been using one for close to 20 years and nothing is better for beach hunting. Hard to believe that a 20 + year old sovereign is still the one to beat in a salt water environment. Sorry for the rant just tired of waiting.

I have not, but I will be sending it in shortly. I have a warranty with them an kellyco and will be using it. lol. I just got a new excal, so I am gonna run that for a while. hh an gl -Joe

3 weeks to the day I got the call! Getting a replacement outer blue case and a replacement circuit board as the tech could not locate the problem with the original board after several tries. He promised it would look close to new and I hope work like new. 2 Benjamins total shipped with a 6 month warrantee. All in all sounded very fair to me as it was my fault it broke in the first place. Should be here in a few days. Hope you other guys make out as well with your warranteed units!

I just got my gt back. 3 days short of 3 weeks. I sent it to Minelab and they sent it to kellyco in FL. I had to call Kellyco to see what was done with it since there was no paperwork. They said they replaced the gain and volume pods? and a toggle switch. I will hit the beach tomorrow to try it out. While I was speaking to the tech he stated that he has had a few other GT's come in with the same problem in the past few weeks.

Got mine back in 15 days, but I did send it in " Priority Mail ". It was still under warranty and they replaced the circuit board. Very happy with the entire experience.
