Anybody use Wireless earbuds?

I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my F75. Among the machines in my arsenal is an FBS unit with a wireless module that I do use ear buds with in place of head phones. One piece of advice is don't skimp on the buds, buy top notch ones and they work just as good as headphones.

I'm surprised at the lack of response on this. I figured there were a lot of people that did this. Evidently not. Thank you for the advice. I really don't know what to buy. A lot of mixed feeling on the wireless stuff.

You might try putting your original post in the general metal detecting forum. A lot more people will see it there. As for me, I use wireless Rapoo headphones (eBay) on my Etrac and M6 and love them!

They run about $40-50 but are worth every penny!

Don't use this setup but I have read a ton of posts and advice about different ones over the years and I learned this...
For hunting in woods there is nothing better...no cords to hang you up although I don't have a huge problem with that.
Equipment is everything and even though you still want the best sound you can get the most important thing to be concerned with seems to be lag time.
The Fisher line for instance prides itself on the legendary fast recovery times most units possess.
Too much and it will negate this, drive you nuts and in areas with targets in close proximity you will miss stuff.
Not all combinations are the same so get real world experience from several users before you buy.

Yes that's what I was wanting to happen. To get feedback on different setups and users. I really prefer earbuds over the headphones. I'll check out those Rapoo
Thanks

I've tried the Rapoo, but found the sound terribly muffled compared to the clear sound you get normally. The Rapoo doesn't use bluetooth but RF so the lag is not a problem. I just couldn't deal with the sound.

I've got the Deteknix wireless headphones that I use with my F75 and my other detectors. I love them. I never noticed any lag when going over a target and tge sound was clear. They are working on a full coverage wireless headphones that I plan on getting when they are for sale.

I use deteknix w6 wireless headphones. Love them. Been using them for 6 months. Easy to switch between detectors. I put the transmitter in the pouch that protects the battery side of the F75 that came with the detector. Just slip it in the right side next to the arm rest.

These just came out. I do not have them but maybe santa will bring me them.

When I ordered my f75, I ordered a pair of Sennheiser RS160 digital wireless headphones. They operate with the KLEER technology which is supposed to be one of the best for response lag.

They are over the ear, not earbuds. The transmitter can be velcro'd to the side of the arm cup.

The wireless phones aren't due to arrive until the 30th. I took my f75 out for it's first couple hour test run a few minutes ago. The first thing I noticed is how much I got spoiled with my CTX wireless. I just can't imagine using a detector being connected by the headphone cord anymore, it's a huge difference.

Let me know what you think about them

Will do. I read about them in an older post by someone using them on his F75. He was very happy with them. They aren't cheap, about $100.00, the price of a normal set of decent wired phones. The audio quality, I expect will be very good.

Like I said I am happy with the Deteknix W6 Lite headphones. So happy that I ordered a pair of Deteknix W6 Pro headphones. I could not tell any lag in in target response. I've also used them on other machines and they seem to work well with all of them.

Chickamauga I did some research on those and read several complaints about them losing connection. Have you experienced this w yours? I guess not though or you wouldn't be recommending them lol.

mine do not lose connection. They seem to stay on a long time and good distance. I use them at home to watch tv with. Dual purpose.

What is the difference in the W6 vs W6 Pro?

No I have not had any problems with mine but I did get mine later than some of the guys that were having problems with theirs. I walked away from my F75 and went to my car to get something and when I walked back to my machine it paired right back up. Not one time did it lose a connection. The only thing that I would say negative is that the band used to hold the transmitter to the detector is kinda cheap. The lites are like the backphones that come with a XP Deus. They are lightweight headphones that are the size of the headphones that came with a Sony Walkman. The Pros are full coverage headphones. I like the lites for hot weather and when I want to be able to hear what is going on around me.

Hey pvtcook,

My Sennheiser's arrived this a.m. I see in your post on the Metal Detecting Forum that you ordered a pair also.

I posted a brief opinion of my initial experience with them at that thread of yours. It was a very positive experience!

Hope your experience is as positive as mine!
