What, since people stopped commenting on your last POS thread, you had to start another?

Go troll someplace else.

That's simple enough isn't it? Get a clue Mr. Room TempIQ... If you don't take the time to ask someone about a new machine no matter what brand you're going to look like a pretty silly man...

G..

I personally don't remember you asking for help...You just wanted to bad mouth the E-Trac.
Go away!

Waterbird you are way out of line and just about everybody who reads your drivel realizes it.

Criticism when you've given something a fair shot is one thing...

But your auction listing said you only used the detector for about an hour!

It seems to me you blame your lack of ability, desire and intelligence on the detector, when the blame clearly lies on your shoulders.

Look at the facts.

In your previous post and auction listing:

You complained about the weight of the E-Trac...but the specs are no secret, you could have found out the weight of the E-Trac in just a few seconds - before you bought it.

You said it's a hard detector...but you never asked any of the experienced and successful dirt fishers on this forum for any help:help:, and you only used it for one hour. Your auction said you read the manual "a little" and dug 3 or 4 holes in the backyard then lost interest in it.

You said the detector is overpriced...but you knew the price before you bought it.

You referred to the detector in your original post as an E-Trak multiple times so it wasn't a typo...you didn't even take the time to learn the correct name of the detector:rolleyes:.

Constantly bashing Minelab because of your shortcomings speaks volumes about you:wacko:, not Minelab.

The only thing you said in your post here that I agree with is "how very sad"

This guy again

I saw a good vid on youtube you need to see..this guy made a detector out of a conciliator and a old am//fm radio...sound like it would be great for ya.

low cost and little instructions.

If you would have came on here and did like MT and others have said and just asked for help...you would have got it! Having this machine or any other for that matter, is going to come with a learning curve...it's up to you to LEARN the machine you use. (Minelab, Garrett..ect)

I've went diggin with alot of diff. people over the years I've done this and seen and used multiple detectors in the past. Did it make a diff. that he used this or I used that..NO. We just had a good time in the field diggin, they learn from me and more than not I learned from them.

Did I start out with the most advanced detector out there...no, but I learned to use the machine I had until progressively I moved up over the years to a E-Trac...is it the best..in my eyes it's the best for me and apparently others.

Sorry it did not work out for ya..so move on.

I never understood your complaint. You have a right to your opinion, but your statement concerning your opinion did not make sense.

1.Pulls my arm off after 3 or 4 hours. I know guys in their mid 60's swinging this machine. If you were using it 3 or 4 hours at a time you must have some good finds to show us. Or did you use it 3 or 4 hours 1 Time? The E-Trac is very well balanced and ergonomically comfortable to swing. There are many that are even purchasing aftermarket coils that make it heavier.

2. Way overpriced. Yes this machine is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The price was no secret. The evidence as to what they will find is no secret either.

3.You got fooled. How were you fooled? All the info on this machine is at your fingertips, along with tons of people that are willing to help answer any questions. With tons of good relics and coins to back it up.
Andy Sabisch would have bent over backwards to correspond with you and help with your learning curve.

4.Not easy to learn. Nothing hard about the on and off button. You could set up numerous targets outside on a clean piece of cardboard from penny to half dollar, clad to silver. Silver ring to gold ring etc etc. and listen to the different tones and ID numbers and have a very good idea how the machine works. A MONKEY COULD DO THAT. Then you could have learned as you went what different settings could or could not do for you.

I think I can speak for everyone on here. We don't think you gave the machine a chance or yourself a chance. I also use an E-Trac and I use a Garrett GTI 2500 and I love them both. If you stick with this hobby I hope you find your perfect machine that fits you.

Don't go putting down other manufacturers machines just because you don't understand it. If you couldn't get it just say so, If it's too expensive for you why did you buy it? If it's too heavy, use it more, your arm will build up to it. Did you get fooled? Yes I think you fooled yourself.

I have to wonder if you were even savvy enough to charge the battery and then install it properly before you gave it your very thorough 1 hour field test to determine it was a completely inferior machine.
You need to learn the difference between constructive criticism and the blatant hogwash you choose to post.
No machine from any maker is going to be perfect for every one but all the top end machines regardless of brand are very capable in the hands of anyone who takes the time to read the manual and follow instructions.
It would be very easy to delete your idiotic post but feel it would be better to let it stand so all can judge your character and motives for themselves ,Ray.

PS If you have a serious complaint it belongs on the Feedback forum as you have been told for the second and final time.

I want to read it, where do I get it? Nevermind... I found it online!

how bout them yankees?

Thanks for the heads-up on that article - I'm off to Colchester, England March 12-19 on an organized metal detecting trip of previously undetected farm fields.
Can't wait - but was wondering what the best E-Trac settings were to use over there - this couldn't have been written at a better time.
Thank you Des Dunne for everything you do to help us out with this amazing machine.

...to work shallow signals and move quickly.

Light machine with quick response. Dig EVERYTHING!

Super thin hammered silvers sound like foil!

Enjoy!
