Bought a used F-5.......................

Sven

Well-known member
Sold my ID Edge at the end of the season to fund my PI project, kind of regretting it as it was a great detector, especially for finding modern Canadian claddage. Lying flat and on edge.
Came across a good deal on a F5 and after reading as much as I can about it, determined it's really a close relative of the ID Edge? With a lot more user control functions that I would have liked to see on the Edge.

Should be here next week, perfect timing as the weather and temp is just starting to rise above 32 degrees.

sweet.. let us know how it works for you.... I'm wanting to buy a newer digital detector... haven't decided on which detector yet..

Sven, congrats on the F5. I always was interested in the little fella myself. Just don't have the scratch to get all the machines that interest me....lol
I am sure your already aware of this, Mike Hillis is the F5 guru.....check out his posts. I wish Mike would create a small book/PDF document on all his F5 posts/experiences....but first I want to see his upcoming F5 vs AT Pro comparison......coming soon to your local FMall theatre:)

Looking forward to hearing what you think about it, Sven.
