I'm interested in a really good camera for filming hunts for youtube, What are some good ones out there? I like the ones I see in this area "E-Trac Forum" and that is why I didn't post this in the video area. I used me camera in video mode but it don't have macro.

Thanks Everyone!

I use the Kodak Zi6. Has great macro capabilities and easily fits in my front pocket of a t-shirt. It is discontinued but worth finding as the new ones in the line like the Zi8 do not have as good macro features.

I don't know how expensive you want to go but check out the VIO POV HD. they are pretty awesome and very durable. look it up on you tube, That's what i want from Santa next year LOL

I use the Kodak Zi6 it has a good a good macro setting for the close-ups in the field. I bought a refurbished one on EBay and it works great.

Exactly what I use and my research found also. I almost got the Zi8 and I think its ok, but that macro isn't as good. One thing I'll say is that when I load mine up on the computer the files are in .mov format. I convert them over to .wmv or whatever Windows Movie Maker is so I can edit, and piece them together, then I load 'em up to youtube. Might be an easier or better way, but that is how I do it.

Thanks Everyone! I just ordered a Kodak Zi6. I like the idea that it also uses AA battery's also.

I was reading the spec's and looks like the limit is 32Gb SD card, can it use more? Just wondering if that was the limit when it came out and that was max memory at that time.

Thanks to everyone again!

How are you guys mounting the camera or what are you using to hold it in place while you dig??

I only have a 16GB card in mine and have never even come close to filling it. Most of my videos are only 6 to 10 minutes long so I have never seen need for a bigger card yet. If that happens, carry a spare memory card or 2 if you want.

I use the Gorillapod by Joby if I am doing a full dig video. I keep the quick attach point attached to the camera at all times when in my pocket. If i want the tripod, I pull it out of my diggin pouch and attach to camera (takes about 1 to 2 seconds) then disconnect when done (another 1 to 2 seconds)

Couldn't be any easier:clapping:

There's a local guy who uses this camera in the surf , chest mounted. Harnesses and armbands are available.

None the less , it has some really good tech specs and would be just great for land hunts in a protective case.
