Myself, I have nothing but the best to say about the 6" and 4.5" x 7" Excellerator Coils - I hunt with a small coil approx. 90 % of the time.
Used both for well over 1000 hrs. - great separation in heavy iron - both hit deep ( many 7" & 8" Dimes ) both are great in brush stubble and in tight spots.
The 4.5" x 7" Coil seems to get around in tight spots easier than the 6" - I just like the feel of it more than the 6" - I think it's well worth the extra money if you use a small coil a lot.
