had nowhere to really go new so went to a house I hunted a couple times before with my xterra 70
I found all this under clothes line area. Pretty much when I hunted the yard before all coins were in same area. I know one thing I am doing a LOT better getting nickels this year, the etrac seems to hit on nickels better than x70 did

Looks like a great hunt,i got a feeling theres more silver there.
Nice job on the wheats, keep up the good work,i'll be looking for more posts

well I dig anything that is :
11-11, 11-12, 11-13, 11-14
12-11, 12-12, 12-13, 12-14..........12-17 war nickels fall here
13-11, 13-12, 13-14

now the other day I dug that buffalo and from 2 directions it was 07-14. the reason it got dug was because when I am on a real old homestead I dig everything above iron

I am really trying hard this year to dig as many old nickels as possible.

I really try NOT to focus on numbers, but the curiousity gets me, you know how many times I see a number I know SHOULD be trash, but I am just so curious I have to dig it just to see what it is.....lol. That is why I absolutely LOVE jumpy signals, because you have NO idea what is down there, and when it is something GOOD, you can just smile ear to ear thinking about all the people who walked right over it thinking it was trash...lol

I agree totally!!! You and I would get a long great. The first V nickel I ever dug rang in at 11-10. As I opened the hole out popped a .22 short casing. I thought, wow, how did that little thing throw out a signal like that. Re-scanned the hole and the V emerged. My worst problem is deeply buried cans (like fruit cans) used back in the 1900-1940's, and their lids. I've had deeply buried cans 8-14" some smashed and some not give me indian and wheat signals. The don't scream when pinpointing either. I hate digging those because of the depth, but I will keep on.
