Does anyone know of a reason why I should not put marine epoxy on the bottom of the ctx coil? I had it on my Excalibur and the E-trac and it worked great.

Long story about Minelab "angry" and other Minelabs that I have owned. I think I'll take my chances. Thanks for your input.

Not sure if there is a "warranty". Couldn't register it online.

I contacted Minelab BEFORE I epoxied my coils to see if the warranty would be voided.

Here was their reply :

" Hi Frank,

Minelab does approve the use of epoxy, but not bed liner of any kind, hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
