How many other detectors with a TID screen do you like in the sun? Not many id dare say. As a water hunter...... yes its hard to see, put on a pair of polarized sun glasses and its worse. BUT...... you do have the option of the LARGE digital screen which helps. I dont look at the screen that often..... but when i do its the cond large digit im checking out there WHEN the screen isnt under water. Even Cell phones havent really fixed that issue. I use mine for the GPS app but still cant wear sun glasses.
